Author: Danie Ferreira
Publisher: Hurtwood Books
About the Book:
Out in the Cold is an exceptional two-volume set by explorer and photographer Danie Ferreira, covering his trips to the North and South Poles respectively. Ferreira’s photographs and text record the extraordinary sights and stories of his expeditions and document the relationships, both human and animal, that he built during his journeys. Ferreira captures ice as a vanishing art form, with each image imbued with deep emotional ties. There’s a romance, coupled with a sense of grief, about the loss of habitat. The books are bound in silk and held within a decorated special edition box. Each volume was stamped and certified at the North and South Pole
