Heywood Hill operates a monthly book subscription service called A Year in Books.
We are looking to recruit a Junior Bookseller to join the team in a supporting role as an Administrative Assistant.
Are you interested in working with books and getting stuck in to the nitty gritty of our well known and much-loved subscription service? Do you have an eye for detail and good at problem-solving? Are you able to work with different IT systems? Are you organised, methodical and conscientious? Are you a friendly team player?
The role assists our subscriptions and warehouse teams with day-to-day tasks. These include, but are not limited to: accepting deliveries; matching books to customer details; selling out books; handling damage returns; dealing with books returned by customers; processing order and customer data; database management; liaising between the packing team, the subscriptions team and external providers; processing online orders for subscriptions; monitoring the stationery stock; dealing with shipping/missing books enquiries. This role will be based at our warehouse in Park Royal (NW10) with occasional days in the shop in Mayfair (W1J). You will be reporting to the Head of Subscriptions.
This will be a fixed term contract, with a start date within November 2021 and will run until 31 May 2022.
Salary: £20,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm. Occasionally, working outside these hours might be needed, for which time off in lieu can be taken.
