About the Book:
Founded by Franco Maria Ricci (FMR) in Italy in 1982, FMR is the ultimate art magazine, an art insider’s treasure trove and a touchstone in the formation of personal taste for the past half century. This superbly produced book, featuring some 300 images as well as concise chapter intros and acute captions illuminating the entire history of the sumptuous black-background magazine, is itself a true collector’s item. Ricci traversed the boundaries of art, architecture, and design, and his unprecedented magazine became an unequivocal success, its British, French, Spanish, and Italian editions combining to make it the world’s largest art magazine of its heyday.
