The archetypal Heywood Hill customer is characterised by independent thought, intellectual enthusiasm, and a good-hearted curiosity about the world in which they live. It is of little surprise, then, that in recent years a great many of our customers have ceased the use of plastic bags out of concern for the natural environment. The pursuit of a sustainable future is one we fully endorse so, taking our lead from them, we have replaced our old white plastic carrier bags with far more sustainable (and, in our opinion, attractive) brown paper ones (we do have a thing for brown paper).

In addition to this, we are very pleased indeed to present the inaugural Heywood Hill Tote Bag. Featuring a beautiful bespoke design by the London artist Cressida Bell, screen-printed onto 100% organic cotton, this bag is produced entirely in the UK.
