Heywood Hill’s Signed Firsts is new for Christmas 2025. This fabulous subscription of twelve hardback books is for the aspiring polymath in your life. Freshly published titles, spanning fiction and non-fiction, will be posted in pairs to your door every other month – and, rather excitingly, every book in this subscription will be signed by the author. 

Showcasing the very best of new writing in the world of fiction alongside the latest engaging non-fiction, this subscription has been designed to keep real readers up to date. Discover the most exciting new releases in hardback, chosen by our thoughtful booksellers to spark your imagination and open your mind in equal measure. 

Sent from our Mayfair bookshop, the books will arrive in six gift-wrapped parcels of two books (one fiction and one non-fiction) every other month, each including a different monthly bookmark designed by the wonderful Cressida Bell.  

You or your lucky recipient will receive a welcome pack from us to introduce the subscription, explaining what is involved in A Year in Books. This pack includes an elegant gift card and letter detailing the subscription. We can also include a hand-written personal message on one of our illustrated postcards. Do pop a message for your recipient in the notes at checkout to include this in the welcome pack.  

• Please note that postage is not included in the cost of the subscription and it will be added at checkout. We send all of our subscription books in pairs to minimise postage costs for our customers.
